Golden Opportunity to Meet World-renowned Educator for Assessment
We are proud to announce that Professor Patrick Griffin, Chair of Education (Assessment) of University of Melbourne, Director of The Assessment Research Centre and Associate Dean of Melbourne Graduate School of Education, will share his valuable experience on internet-based assessments face-to-face with teaching professionals at Learning & Teaching Expo during 12-14 December 2013 (Thursday to Saturday) in Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre.
Professor Griffin was awarded the John Smythe medal for excellence in research for his work on profiling literacy development. He is also a project team leader for UNESCO in southern Africa and was awarded a UNESCO Research Medal by the Ministers of Education from southern African nations in 2005. Moreover, he is a World Bank consultant in Vietnam, leading national and international teams in studies of literacy and numeracy. He is currently an executive Director of the Assessment and Teaching of 21st Century Skills project – a multiyear, multi country Public – Private – Academy Partnership project sponsored by Cisco, Intel and Microsoft.
We write to extend our cordial invitation for your participation in his keynote seminar and hands-on workshops held by Professor Griffin. The seminar on “Internet Based Assessment of 21st Century Skills" examining the development of human-to-human collaborative problem-solving assessment tasks will be delivered on 13 December. In addition to the presentation, Professor Griffin will conduct a series of hands-on workshops in further sharing of his methodology and related practical skills.
