親愛的校長及教師：

第一期「創作獎勵計劃」將於1月底截止

踏入新一年，學生有沒有訂下自己的創作計劃呢？教師又如何能夠從旁協助學生實踐小作家的目標呢？香港教育城（教城）誠邀　貴校及　閣下鼓勵學生參加「創作天地」的「創作獎勵計劃2014/15」，優秀作品更有機會獲獎，並出版成電子書呢！

第一期計劃即將於1月31日（星期六）截止投稿，教師可鼓勵學生將日常創作的作品投稿至「創作天地」網上平台內，創作類別包括以圖畫、繪本等為主的「圖文創作」和「主題寫作」，還有「散文／隨筆」及「閱讀隨筆」，內容、字數及投稿次數不限，讓學生自由發揮創作能力。

而第一期「主題寫作」的主題是「愛護動物」，並以「與動物做朋友」為寫作題目，鼓勵同學透過不同創作形式，思考與動物有關的議題，包括動物權益、人與動物的關係等。

專業評審團將於每項創作類別各選出冠、亞、季軍，並另設三名「最受歡迎作品獎」、「最積極參與學生獎」與「最積極參與學校獎」，以示嘉許。得獎者將獲贈書劵及證書，得獎作品更會結集成電子書，於嶄新推出的「教城書櫃」出版。

First Phase of 'eWorks Award Scheme 2014/15' is closing

Have your students made their New Year’s resolutions on writing yet? How can you help them achieve their goals as a good writer? ‘eWorks' of Hong Kong Education City cordially invites you to encourage your students to enrol in eWorks Award Scheme 2014/15. Outstanding works will be awarded prizes and published as eBooks!

The submission deadline for the first phase of eWorks will be 31 January (Saturday). Students may submit their works in different categories, including Illustration Writing, Theme-based Writing, Essays and Book Reviews. They may write on any topics with no limits on words and number of submissions.

The first theme for Theme-based Writing is ‘Care For Animals’, thus the topic for writing is ‘Make friends with Animals’. With this theme, we aim at drawing students’ attention to animal-related issues such as animal rights and human-animal relationships.

There are several rewards per category in recognition of outstanding works, namely, ‘The Champion’, ‘The First Runner-up’, and ‘The Second Runner-up’. Moreover, for the whole Primary School Section, there are three ‘The Most Popular Work Awards’ and an ‘Active Participation Award for Student’. The school with most students participating shall receive an ‘Active Participation Award for School’. Winners will be awarded a certificate and book vouchers while their winning works will be published as eBook(s) at our newly-launched ‘EdBookShelf'. Please click here to know more.
