2 Jul 1943, Chronology of Events Related to Stanley Civilian Internment Camp Posted: 14 Jun 2014 03:12 AM PDT Book / Document: Date(s) of events described: Fri, 2 Jul 1943 Diarist Eric MacNider tells us that 14 bankers arrived in Stanley today, and the same number is given by George Gerrard in his retrospective entry of July 7. R. E. Jones also notes the arrival of the 'rest of the bankers' while outside the borders of Hong Kong the British Army Aid Group will soon learn that most of the bankers have entered Stanley today.
