Gleneagles has further strengthened our support to the community by collaborating with the Hospital Authority (HA) to provide free teleconsultation and medication delivery and counselling services to elderly COVID-19 patients.
Riding on our experience in conducting teleconsultation, we mobilised our manpower and resources swiftly and collaborated with the HA to provide timely and quality medical care for elderly COVID-19 patients, helping reduce the risk of complication of infected patients and alleviate pressure on public hospitals.

Atrial fibrillation patient's sharing - Resuming normal life with surgical treatment
Atrial fibrillation is a common arrhythmia due to abnormal electrical impulses generated in the heart. In Hong Kong, there are around 1% of people suffer from this condition. Patients with atrial fibrillation may have palpitation, as well as other cardiac symptoms such as dizziness and chest pain etc. Although medications are often used as first-line to treat atrial fibrillation, some of the medicines are not suitable for long-term use due to their side effects, and they may not be effective for all patients. Therefore, some patients may need to undergo a cardiac ablation surgery.
Mr Yip suffered from atrial fibrillation and has received a cardiac ablation surgery. After the surgery and with improvement of his living habits, he is now leading a happy and healthy life.
