Now let's get into this week's topic - in our previous installments we talked about how to elevate your social media content creation game with a few different iRig mobile interfaces and mics. But what if you're into podcasting and you want to record episodes on-the-go?

If you're a podcaster, you know that recording on-location with multiple guests can be a challenge. Having to transport audio equipment and multiple mics can be a hassle and then having to set it all up can take up a lot of time.

That's where the iRig Stream Mic Pro comes in.

One of the standout features of the iRig Stream Mic Pro is its multi-pattern condenser microphone. With four different mic patterns to choose from, you can easily switch between cardioid, omnidirectional, bidirectional (figure 8), and stereo modes to suit whatever your recording needs are.

Here are a few ways you can use the iRig Stream Mic Pro's mic patterns in action:

1. Let's say you're recording a roundtable discussion with three guests. For this scenario, you can use the omnidirectional mic pattern to capture everyone's voices equally, without having to position the mic directly in front of each person. This makes it easier to set up and get started quickly.

2. If you're recording a one-on-one interview, the figure 8 pattern is perfect for capturing your guest sitting face to face.

3. And if you want to record in stereo to enhance your on-location storytelling with atmosphere, the iRig Stream Mic Pro's stereo mic pattern is ideal for capturing the ambience of the room and creating a more immersive listening experience.

The best part of this whole setup is that you don't need to use any additional audio interface to connect it to your laptop or even iPad or iPhone. It is a truly agile, mobile setup.

Check out how it all works in the video below.
