21 Sep 1942, Chronology of Events Related to Stanley Civilian Internment Camp Posted: 15 Aug 2013 06:23 AM PDT Book / Document: Chronology of Events Related to Stanley Civilian Internment Camp Date of events described: Mon, 1942-09-21 Dorothy Jenner notes in her diary that there's been a strike of vegetable cutters and wood cutters, who came out when their extra rations were cut due to camp shortages. In spite of the ringing slogan 'A matter of principle' the strikers meet with little sympathy, and section leader ('blockhead') Jenner soon fills their places with willing workers.
