香港教育城(教城)每年舉辦學與教博覽(www.LTExpo.com.hk),為學界提供專業教育交流平台。2014年學與教博覽將於12月11-13日舉行,邀得本地以至國際教育專家作主題演講,範疇涵蓋教育政策、共融教育、學習科技、電子教科書、學校領導與管理及遊戲學習,助學界透視本港以至環球教育趨勢和發展。
今屆博覽首個主題演講題為「環球視野 透視未來」,由來自香港、美國、內地、新加坡及南韓等地的教育部門官員及教育專家主講,探討世界各地的教育政策,助學界開拓環球教育視野。
除國際學者外,本地教育專家領袖也會於學與教博覽分享教育前瞻。香港大學錢大康教授會探討高等教育的變革,透視未來學與教發展;香港中文大學彭新強教授將提供學校管理組織變革及推行教育創新的建議;本地中小學校長則會分享迎向教育趨勢的經驗。
電子學習的大趨勢下,電子教科書乃重要一環,多位講者將解構電子教科書以至開放教科書的角色;此外,香港大學袁海球博士將講解如何為數位一代重塑學習環境,霍偉棟博士則會闡述大數據如何帶動教育新時代。
除電子教科書外,「遊戲學習」可說是另一教育趨勢,來自香港大學、香港城市大學的學者,將講解此中奧妙,學校代表則會分享遊戲為本學習的實踐經驗。
另一方面,有見學界面對融合教育或照顧特殊教育需要學童的挑戰,香港教育學院麥翰林教授將分享如何啟發學生投入專注式學習,英國專門推動特殊教育需要支援的nasen理事會主席則會介紹創新的支援方式。此外,本地學者、校長等更會分享照顧學習差異的經驗和心得。

學與教博覽另設多項精彩活動,如有關「翻轉課堂應用」和「電子書融入學與教實踐」的研討會、示範如何於中小學不同學科實踐互動教學的香港電子互動教室等。
此外,博覽期間將舉辦多場學校參觀活動,內容包括觀課、參與教學示範和計劃經驗分享等,讓參加者觀摩其他學校如何實踐電子學習或共融教育,例如:循道學校分享跨學科協作、電子學習規劃的經驗及策略;天主教南華中學探討如何促進學生預習及溫習流程;金巴崙長老會耀道小學示範以電子學習照顧學生個別差異的課堂設計等。

Dear Principals and Teachers,
Hong Kong Education City (HKEdCity)'s annual premier educational event Learning & Teaching Expo (LTE) (www.LTExpo.com.hk) is a platform for teaching professionals around the region to gather and share ideas. This year, LTE takes place from 11-13 Dec, and education experts from Hong Kong to overseas will share their insights into various aspects in education, from innovative eLearning to inclusive education, and from school leadership to game-based learning.
'Global Horizon on Education: A Future Perspective' is the first theme of the main stage presentations. Renowned education experts and government officials from Hong Kong, the USA, mainland China, Singapore and South Korea will talk about education policies in different districts and countries, so as to provide a global vision for the local education sector.
Apart from international experts, local scholars and education leaders will also share their insight into education. Professor Roland Chin (HKU) will talk about changes in higher education, while Professor Pang Sun Keung (CUHK) will elaborate on change, innovation and management in quality school education. School principals will also share their experience of coping with changes in education.
eTextbooks is a crucial part in eLearning. Various speakers will talk about the role of eTextbooks and open textbooks. Furthermore, Dr. Allan Yuen (HKU) will discuss the issues in reshaping environments for the learning of the digital generation, while Dr. Fok Wai Tung will tell us how big data is bringing about a new era for education.
Game-based learning is another hot topic in education. Speakers from HKU and CityU will share their insight into this, and representatives from different schools will talk about their first-hand experience of applying game-based learning.
If you are concerned with inclusive education and SEN students, you should not miss the presentation of Professor Dennis McInerney (HKIEd), who will show how teachers can motivate students for engaged learning. Meanwhile, a representative from nasen, the leading organisation in the UK for SEN support, will introduce a new innovation for supporting teachers of children with SEN. Local experts and school leaders will also talk about their experience of catering for learning differences.

Other exciting activities will take place at the Expo, such as seminars about ‘Flipped Classroom’ and ‘eBook’, as well as Interactive Classroom, which showcases how interactive lessons are conducted for different subjects in primary and secondary schools.
There are also a series of school visits during the Expo. Through lesson observations, teaching demonstrations and programme sharing, you can know more about eLearning and progressive inclusive education in other schools. For example, Methodist School will share experience and strategies on cross-subject curriculum design and eLearning; Nam Wah Catholic Secondary School will talk about how to enhance students' pre-learning and revision processes; and C.P.C. Yao Dao Primary School will showcase how eLearning help cater learning diversity.
