實地了解再生能源

中學文憑試通識教育科的其中一個主題單元為「能源科技與環境」，鼓勵同學對能源科技進行探究，而有限資源的規劃管理與再生能源的發展應用，更是社會關注的重要環境保護議題之一。

香港教育城（教城）的「探知達人」獎勵計劃將於12月29日舉行「探知點點通」12月份活動，讓同學實地參觀煤氣廠房，親身了解能源製造的過程及相關設備，進一步思索能源對環境的影響及其可持續發展的項目，歡迎中學生踴躍參加！活動詳情如下：

活動	參觀大埔煤氣廠
對象	基於安全理由，此活動只接受17歲或以上的中學生參加
日期	2014年12月29日（星期一）
時間	下午2:30至4:30
地點	新界大埔工業邨大發街17-19號【地圖】
內容簡介	參觀香港中華煤氣有限公司大埔廠房的設施，包括煤氣爐場、石腦油缸、天然氣接收站等 認識使用石腦油和天然氣作為能源生產原料及煤氣的製造過程 了解環保能源生產
報名方法	請按此填妥網上報名表
截止報名日期	2014年12月23日（星期二）
備註	參加者將於報名後7個工作天內收到報名確認電郵，活動名額有限，先到先得，額滿即止。

A Visit to Learn About Renewable Energy
'Energy Technology and the Environment' is one of the areas of study in Liberal Studies curriculum of HKDSE, so as to raise students' awareness on energy technology. The planning and management of resources together with the development and application of renewable energy have drawn social attention on environmental protection related issues.

'Student Explorer' Award Scheme of Hong Kong Education City (HKEdCity) is going to visit a Gas Production Plant on 29 December 2014 for secondary students to know more about the energy production process and the facilities, to explore the impact on environment and the opportunities of sustainable development. Sign up for our activity now! Details are as below.

Target	For safety reason, this visit is only open to secondary students aged 17 or above
Date	29 December 2014 (Monday)
Time	2:30 - 4:30pm

Details	Visit the Tai Po Plant of The Hong Kong and China Gas Company Limited to know more about their facilities, such as process plot, naphtha tank and gas receiving station Introduce how town gas is produced from naphtha and natural gas Understand eco-friendly energy production
