亞洲教育「大數據」的啟示
學習數據的整合,能助校方從宏觀層面掌握學生特質,從而針對調整學校管理方向及教學策略。世界各地的學習「大數據」,更可讓教育工作者前瞻全球的學與教趨勢,從中獲得啟示。
為此,香港中文大學教育學院及香港教育研究所將於2015年1月30及31日(星期五及六)舉辦專業發展講座及「數說教育 : 政策優化與學校改進的分析與借鑒國際學術會議」,一連兩日探討大型教育數據調查如何啟迪教育政策改革,並推動學校精益求精。
1月30日(星期五)舉行的講座,邀得經濟合作發展組織(OECD)Andreas Schleicher教授和新加坡教育部Cheong Wei Yang博士主講,講解廿一世紀教師和學校領袖的培育,以及新加坡的教師培訓。
1月31日(星期六)的會議,則由香港教育局局長吳克儉先生, SBS, JP及常任秘書長黎陳芷娟女士, JP擔任主禮嘉賓;Andreas Schleicher教授和多位本地學者將分享不同教育數據調查的啟發,來自日本、南韓、新加坡及香港的教育官員及專家則將探討環球教育政策及學校改進。

See What ‘Big Data’ Speaks about Education in Asia
Large-scale student achievement data offer important insights into the directions of educational policy reform and ways to facilitate school improvement. Data around the world speaks even more.
To illustrate what education data can achieve, Faulty of Education and Hong Kong Institute of Educational Research of The Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK) are jointly organising a seminar on professional development of school leaders and teachers, and an international conference entitled ‘Data Speaks: Lessons from Large-scale Educational Data Surveys for Educational Policy Reform and School Improvement’ on 30 (Friday) and 31 (Saturday) January 2015 respectively.
Policy makers and scholars from Asian countries / economies (including Japan, South Korea, Singapore and Hong Kong), whose students have performed outstandingly in international achievement tests, will share their experiences and lessons on education policy and reforms.
At the seminar on 30 January, Prof. Andreas Schleicher (Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD)) will share his insight into developing 21st Century Teachers and School Leaders while Dr. Cheong Wei Yang (Ministry of Education, Singapore) will talk about teacher education in Singapore.
At the conference on 31 January, Mr. Ng Hak Kim Eddie, SBS, JP, Secretary for Education and Mrs. Lai-chan Chi Kuen Marion, JP, Permanent Secretary for Education of Education Bureau, HKSAR will be the officiating guests. Keynote speaker Prof. Andreas Schleicher (OECD) and local scholars will talk about lessons learnt and inspirations from different educational data surveys. Meanwhile, education officials and experts from Japan, South Korea, Singapore and Hong Kong will present education policies and school improvement in different regions.
