We are pleased to be one out of eight organisations awarded with this highest honour.     🔎Watch the video to learn more about our work in protecting personal data privacy 香港個人資料私隱專員公署早前舉辦「私隱之友嘉許獎2023」，表揚在保障個人資料私隱方面表現傑出的機構，而港怡醫院獲頒「卓越金獎」，成為8間獲得此最高殊榮機構的其中之一。 🔎觀看影片，了解港怡醫院多項保障個人資料私隱的措施 A regional radiotherapy reference centre has been recently established at Gleneagles under a partnership with medical equipment manufacturer Varian, making the hospital the first of its kind in the private healthcare sector in Hong Kong.   The reference centre will be supported by Gleneagles' Radiotherapy and Oncology Centre, Medical Physics and our oncologists who will collaborate with Varian and interact with radiotherapy professionals and healthcare organisations in nearby regions in areas such as knowledge exchange, experience sharing, dosimetry and treatment planning, and validation and application of the equipment and technology provided by Varian.    港怡正式成立一所區域性的放射治療參考中心。港怡與醫療設備生產商Varian早前簽署合作協議，成為本港首間成立放射治療參考中心的私營醫療機構。  參考中心將由港怡的放射治療及腫瘤科中心、醫學物理團隊以及腫瘤科醫生和Varian攜手合作，與鄰近地區的放射治療專家和醫療機構在知識探討、經驗分享、劑量測量和治療計劃，以及儀器技術的驗證及應用等範疇作交流。 Gleneagles' column on HK01     Gleneagles' Senior Radiation Therapist Dominque Wong shared information about how respiratory motion management in radiation therapy enhances accuracy of tumour treatment. When cholesterol levels continuously exceed the normal range without control, various metabolic diseases may develop. Cholesterol can be categorised into "good cholesterol" and "bad cholesterol" which refers to high-density lipoprotein (HDL) cholesterol and low-density lipoprotein (LDL) cholesterol respectively. High cholesterol refers to the high levels of bad cholesterol.  Bad cholesterol levels below 2.6mmol/L are considered optimal. High cholesterol may not cause noticeable symptoms. Yet, persistently high cholesterol can lead to clogged arteries, resulting in stroke (cerebral embolism) or even death.
