寓學習於遊戲不單可以提昇學生的學習興趣及好奇心，更能培養他們的探究精神，發展自主學習的能力。有見及此，香港教育城（教城）的小校園分別推出不同系列的自學計劃，包括「十分科學」及「暑期數理常識挑戰計劃」，讓小學生可以從網上互動遊戲中學習常識、科學及數學知識。
「十分科學」常識科網上自學計劃的第二期快將完結，鼓勵 貴校學生於5月28日（星期四）前以教城學生戶口登入計劃網站，完成第二期的課程練習，角逐學期獎項，以及多個全年獎項。把握最後十數天的時間，贏取「最積極參與學校獎」的殊榮及豐富禮品！
此外，今年教城繼續與《兒童的科學》雜誌合辦「暑期數理常識挑戰計劃」。計劃已邁進第十年，並於7月展開，旨在鼓勵小學生善用暑假，以小任務的遊戲形式，完成各項數學、常識及科學的網上挑戰項目，藉以溫故知新。現誠邀 貴校負責教師於6月26日（星期五）前，以教城教師戶口於網上報名參加。若於去年9月已同時報名參加「十分科學」及「暑期數理常識挑戰計劃」之學校，則無須再次報名。請按此瀏覽已成功參加「暑期數理常識挑戰計劃2015」之學校名單及其他詳情。
為讓同學親身體驗計劃的挑戰性及箇中樂趣，由5月25日（星期一）起，學生只需以教城學生戶口登入計劃網頁，便可重溫和試做上屆計劃的題目。

Dear Principals and Teachers,
Game-based learning can stimulate students’ learning initiatives, encourage them to explore around and build a solid foundation for self-directed learning ability. In view of this, Small Campus of Hong Kong Education City (HKEdCity) launches different series of self-study programmes, including ‘10-Minute Science' and 'Summer Science', so that primary students can gain knowledge of general studies, science and mathematics from online interactive games and exercises.
The Second phase of ’10-Minute Science', the annual learning programme of general studies and science, will end this month. Please encourage your students to log in with their HKEdCity's accounts and complete the online exercises for the second phase by 28 May (Thursday), in order to compete for the term awards together with various annual awards. Grasp these days to win our 'Active Participation Award for Schools' as well as fabulous prizes!
Apart from the above, we continue to collaborate with the magazine ‘Children Science’ to organise ‘Summer Science' this year. 'Summer Science 2015' in its tenth year will be held in July. The programme encourages primary students to complete various online game-based tasks on mathematics, general studies and science for their knowledge enrichment during summer vacation. You are cordially invited to register online with your HKEdCity’s account by 26 June (Friday). No registration is required if concurrent registration with ‘10-Minute Science’ was made in September 2014. List of enrolled schools of ‘Summer Science 2015’ as well as programme details are available here.
Starting from 25 May (Monday), students can try last year’s online games and exercises to experience fun learning by simply logging in with their HKEdCity’s accounts.
